Admission Process at Govt. ITI, Teliamura

Government ITI Teliamura offers admissions to various technical and vocational courses designed to equip Trainees with practical skills and industry-relevant knowledge. Here’s an overview of the admission process:

Eligibility Criteria:

1.    Educational Qualification::     
•    Applicants must have passed at least the 10th grade (Matriculation) from a recognized board.     
•    Specific trades (Engineering Trades) may have additional requirements, such as a background in science or mathematics.     
2.    Age Limit:     
• The minimum age for admission is generally 14 years, with no upper age limit for most trades.     

Application Process:
1.    Online Registration::     

Candidates can apply through the official online portal of the Directorate of Industrial Training, Tripura: https://itiadmission.tripura.gov.in/ecounselling/:
•    Fill in the required details and upload necessary documents like mark sheets, ID proof, and photographs.     
2.    Selection Process:     
•     Admissions are usually based on merit, considering the marks obtained in the qualifying examination (10th grade or equivalent).     
•     A counselling process may follow to allocate seats in various trades based on the candidate’s preferences and merit.     
3.    Document Verification:     
•     Selected candidates must undergo a document verification process at nearest ITI.     
•    Required documents include academic certificates, age proof, caste certificate (if applicable), and other relevant documents.     
4.    Offline Admission Process      

After the initial online admission phase, Government ITI Teliamura conducts an offline admission process to finalize the enrolment of Trainees. The offline admission process typically works:
•   Shortlisting : Candidates who have applied online and meet the eligibility criteria are shortlisted based on their merit (usually marks obtained in the 10th grade).     
•   Invitation for Counselling: : Shortlisted candidates receive a notification to attend the offline counselling session at the ITI Teliamura campus. The date, time, and venue are provided in this notification.  
5.    Fee Payment:     
•   Although there is no tuition fee, candidates need to pay caution money of Rs-1000/= during admission, which is refundable after successful completion of Trade.  

Important Dates:

•  The admission process typically starts in June or July, with specific dates announced by the Directorate of Industrial Training, Tripura.
